Important note Alternativahotels.com only act as a booking agent and sell rooms at overseas hotels, apartments or other tourist or residential establishments on this website as bookable on an accommodation only basis.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as they, along with other information shown on this website, form the basis of your contract with Ibiza Hospitality S.L. In purchasing reservations for rooms, apartments or other tourist or residential establishments (“Accommodation”) from us you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which set out your and our commitments as part of the booking agreement.

Ibiza Hospitality S.L reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at anytime, all amendments will be made to the website and will be effective immediately. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each use of the website, by using the website after any changes to the terms and conditions, you will be deemed to have accepted the changes.

Definition of terms

  • The terms “we”, “us”,” Company” and alternativahotels.com refers to alternativahotels.com trading under Ibiza Hospitality S.L.
  • The term “you” and “your” means the person making the booking and everyone else named on the booking (including anyone added or substituted) whether the booking is made through us directly or through this website, or indirectly through any of our affiliates through whom we provide services.
  • “Lead Name” means the person making the booking.
  • "Accommodation provider(s)" means the owner(s)/provider(s) of the hotels, apartments, other tourist or residential establishments featured on this website or available through alternativahotels.com.
  • “Accommodation” means hotels, apartments or other tourist or residential establishments featured or available through alternativahotels.com including all facilities and ancillary services advertised on our website in relation to your confirmed accommodation.
  • “Arrival” means your arrival date at your accommodation or, where you book more than one, your arrival date at your first accommodation unless otherwise stated.
Use of the Web Site:

This website is for your personal use and it is not permitted for any form of commercial use or advertising. No part of this website content or infrastructure used to provide such content may be produced, copied or displayed in any form without prior permission of Ibiza Hospitality S.L.

By accessing, browsing or booking on this site you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and you agree to comply with the relevant laws, rules and regulations as applicable.

The Alternativahotels.com website is provided solely to assist customers in determining the availability of accommodation and services and to make legitimate reservations. You warrant that you are or will be 18 years of age on the date of departure and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement and to use this website in accordance all terms and conditions herein.

We do not guarantee that this site will always be available or that its operation will be error free, nor do we accept any adverse effects of accessing it. Ibiza Hospitality S.L shall not be liable for any damage, loss or claims of any nature arising out of the use of this site.

If, for any reason you do not agree to our terms of use, then please do not use this website.

Website content and pricing:

All content on the website is correct at the time of going live and whilst we constantly strive to achieve the highest standard of accuracy of information, imagery, availability and pricing, this content may be subject to change. Accommodation ratings displayed on this website, are intended only as general guidelines and Ibiza Hospitality S.L do not guarantee the accuracy of the ratings. We will carry out regular checks to ensure that the relevant changes or corrections are made.

Ibiza Hospitality S.L will not be liable for any discrepancies to content and does not own or control any of those who provide the featured accommodation; we are dependant on these providers for the correct original information and correct updated information. We will do our best to let you know about any significant changes prior to travel.

Our pricing is checked regularly to ensure that the best offers are passed to you the customer, regrettably errors may occur and the price displayed on the website incorrect. In the event that an incorrect price has been entered in error any booking made based on such incorrect price will not be valid. You will be advised of the mistake at the earliest opportunity and given the option to either pay the correct amended price, change to another accommodation of equivalent value if we are able to offer one or receive a full refund of the money you have already paid.

Bookings, payment and confirmation:

Before making your booking please ensure that your choice is suitable for you and your party and that you have checked all property information, location and imagery.

The person who confirms the booking will be known as the lead name and he or she must be over 18 years old and responsible for the payment of the total booking, including any cancellation or amendment fees that may be incurred.

You must complete all mandatory customer information fields required, and ensure that all information supplied by you or another person who is legally authorised to do so on your behalf is correct before you proceed to confirmation stage. Any personal amendment to a booking at a later stage will be subject to an additional charge.

Booking confirmations will only be sent via e-mail and so a valid address must be entered in the mandatory field provided at booking stage. Please ensure that you enter your e-mail address correctly.

On completion of your booking and full payment you will receive an immediate confirmation and hotel voucher by e-mail. In the unlikely event you do not receive these then please report this to: info@alternativahotels.com

Please ensure that you check your confirmation and voucher immediately on receipt. You must contact us straight away if any information on your documentation appears to be incorrect, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

Your hotel voucher must be presented for check in at your accommodation; failure to do so may result in the accommodation refusing to accept your booking.

It is your responsibility to inform us if you do not receive confirmation of your booking as this could be due to the SPAM restrictions set by your e-mail provider.

We reserve the right to refuse your booking, if we do this we will refund any money already paid to us.

Payment

The payment terms for your reservation are as follows:

All bookings made through Alternativa Hotels are payable in full at the time of booking. Our arrangements with all accommodation providers specify that payment in full must be made in advance of check in date to secure the reservation.

Please contact to discuss advance bookings and our payment policy, these are bookings made 6 months in advance of the check in date.

The price does not include

Any service not specified in the reservation confirmation.

Any kind of extra service such as, telephone calls, laundry service, minibar, parking etc. Extra services are payable by you the customer direct to the accommodation.

In some countries there is a local tax known as “stay tax” or “tourist tax” (eco tax) which must be paid direct to the accommodation or /and the airport.
The Russian tourist tax must be paid direct by you, the customer at the first hotel of arrival in the country.

Children’s discounts:

Discounts and special conditions are only applicable when children share a room with maximum adult occupancy.

Special requests:

If you have any special requests (for example dietary requirements, cots* or room location) please advise us at the time of booking. We will pass on all such requests to the relevant accommodation provider(s) of the arrangements you have booked, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that they will be met. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to the accommodation provider(s) or the inclusion of the special request on your confirmation invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met, all special requests are subject to availability. Further, if the accommodation provider(s) is unable to meet any such requests, neither we, nor they, will have any liability to you in this respect.

We regret we cannot accept any conditional bookings, i.e. any booking which is specified to be conditional on the fulfilment of a particular request. All such bookings will be treated as “standard” bookings subject to the above provisions on special requests. * Please note, cots and other special requests may only be available at an extra charge unless otherwise expressly stated in the description of the accommodation/arrangement in question.

If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your booking, it is imperative that you contact us before you confirm your booking so that we can check and advise as to the suitability of the chosen arrangements. In any event, you must give full details in writing at the time of booking. If we or the accommodation provider(s) reasonably feel unable to properly accommodate the particular needs of the person concerned, we must reserve the right on behalf of the accommodation provider(s) concerned to decline their reservation or, if full details are not given at the time of booking, cancel on behalf of the supplier(s) concerned when we become aware of these details.

Making changes to your booking

Any amendments that you require to make to your booking once it has been confirmed should be notified to us a soon as possible. We will make every effort to process the amendment however sometimes we regret that it is not always possible to meet your request. Where an amendment can be made, any amendment fee will be payable together with any costs incurred by us and any costs or charges incurred or imposed by your accommodation provider. Changes to reduction in period of stay, names etc may not be accepted after the reservation is made and could be deemed as a cancellation of your reservation, in which case cancellation terms will apply.

Any change requested must be notified to us 15 days or more before arrival to info@alternativahotels.com

Any amendment to a booking once confirmed may incur a charge; this will be subject to the individual accommodation provider’s policy regarding changes to bookings made.

Please note that some accommodation providers or suppliers may refuse any changes to the lead name of a booking. In this instance, should you wish to cancel the relevant cancellation charges will apply as outlined in these terms and conditions.

Cancellation charges as below may apply.

If you change the number of people booked, the total price of your booking will be re-calculated for the new party size. If for example the party is reduced in number, this may mean that any accommodation you have booked is under-occupied and each of the remainder of the party may have to pay more. If you wish to make any change to the booking while on holiday (e.g. upgrading accommodation or extending your stay), all requests are subject to availability and any extra cost must be paid immediately.

No Show or reduction of stay

A no show at the property by any/all member(s) of the booking will be subject to our cancellation terms and 100% cancellation charge will apply. Should you or any member of your party decide to vacate the accommodation before your confirmed date of departure 100% cancellation charge will apply.

Terms of cancellation

In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel your booking, the lead name must contact us either by e-mail or fax stating the cancellation details. Terms of cancellation will take effect from the date that we receive notification from you. If a member of your booking cancels and you cannot fill that persons place, you may incur additional supplements for any under occupancy that may apply. If you do cancel then you will still be liable for any amendments charges which arose before the notification of cancellation.

Notice of cancellation given Cancellation charges
Within 7 days of check-in date First night of total booking plus any additional charges according to the accommodation providers own cancellation policy.*

 

* Please note that not all accommodation providers apply the same cancellation terms and although very rare some accommodation providers may apply full cancellation charges. Not exclusive to, but these can include fair or trade periods, please call us if you want to check an individual hotel’s cancellation policy.

Group Bookings .
* Bookings of 5 rooms or more may be considered as a group and subsequently cancellation terms may differ. You will be advised of this at the time of booking. *Please call the Alternativa reservation line for group enquiries.

Special Requests.
Bookings for properties not featured live or available on Alternativa Hotels website, may be considered as a special request and subsequently cancellation terms may differ. You will be advised of this at the time of booking.

Change to or cancellation of your booking by the accommodation provider

If there is a change to or cancellation of your booking we will notify you the moment we are informed together with any compensation offer the supplier may make. As agent only for the supplier we cannot accept any liability for any changes or cancellations made to your booking.

In the instance that an accommodation establishment changes name or trade name, this will not be construed as a change of hotel or modification of the booking.

Circumstances beyond our control

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligation(s) to you is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of "force majeure". In these Booking Conditions, "force majeure" (but not limited) means which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) beyond the reasonable control of alternativahotels.com, Ibiza Hospitality S.L and the accommodation provider concerned. Such events may include epidemics, flood, destruction or damage of accommodation by any cause, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Insurance

Although we do not make Insurance obligatory, we strongly recommend that you and each member of your booking take out Holiday Insurance that is suitable for your needs before you travel. Your Insurance should cover you for cancellation of your booking, or any emergencies including medical that may arise while you are away.

Documentation

All members of the booking, without exception must have current personal and family documentation, either passport or National Identity Documentation, as required by the country or countries visited.

Complaints procedure

In the unlikely event that you have any reason to complain or experience any problems with your accommodation whilst away then you must inform the accommodation provider, or via the specific assistance number (located on your final confirmation) in order for a chance to be given to resolve any problem that you may have. It is the property management’s responsibility to address any claims that you have against the property during your stay. Please ensure that every effort is made to do this as any claims after your departure from the property, without prior notification to the property management can be very difficult to resolve. 

If you have a complaint which is not resolved to your satisfaction prior to the end of your stay at the accommodation, you must pursue this directly with the accommodation provider. Should you fail to resolve your dispute with the accommodation provider we may assist at our own discretion, any assistance provided in resolving a complaint in relation to any arrangements is provided on a goodwill basis and in our capacity as a booking agent.

Alternativahotels.com act only as agent for the provider(s) concerned and therefore cannot accept any liability for your arrangements.

Please note that a contact number for assistance is specified on your final confirmation, should you have any complaints or require assistance then it is your responsibility to contact this number.

Behaviour

When you book with alternativahotels.com, you accept responsibility for all conduct, damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party including children during your stay. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to the accommodation provider(s) concerned. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions. The accommodation provider reserves the right at any time to terminate your stay or that of any member of your party due to your misconduct, where justified in their reasonable opinion. Full cancellation terms will apply and no refunds will be given. Furthermore, neither the accommodation provider nor Alternativahotels.com shall be under any obligation whatsoever to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of your stay being terminated.

Room allocation

After check in at your accommodation, you will be allocated a room. Please note: if checking-in after midnight, your accommodation will be reserved from the previous day which will count as the first day/night. In most accommodation establishments the earliest check in time is 14:00 hours, and the latest check out time on the day of departure is 12:00 hours; however this may change in certain destinations.

Safety standards

Please note, it is the requirements and standards of the country in which any services which make up your holiday are provided, which apply to those services and not those of the UK. As a general rule, these requirements and standards will not be the same as the UK and may sometimes be lower.

It is most important that on arrival you and your party familiarise yourself with all Health and Safety information relating to the property including fire procedure’s, exits, alarm location and meeting points. Should the accommodation that you are staying in have a swimming pool or pools then please adhere to all rules of use and observe all depth markings, features and signage.

Conditions of suppliers

The services which make up your arrangements are provided by independent accommodation suppliers. Those suppliers provide these services in accordance with their own terms and conditions. Some of these terms and conditions may limit or exclude the supplier's liability to you. Copies of the relevant parts of these terms and conditions are available on request from us or the supplier concerned

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are subject to the laws and exclusive jurisdiction of Spain.
