1. How do I make a hotel reservation?
This website is designed with simplicity in mind to save you time on searching and booking. The steps are as follows:
Step 1 :
Search for destination and dates required
Step 2:
Review search results and click on the link for more information
Step 3:
Select the hotel of your choice and on our booking page, enter names and payment details
Step 4:
Your reservation will be confirmed and you will receive an email with a voucher to present to the hotel upon arrival.
2. I prefer to book by telephone. Is this ok?
You can book by telephone, but please be aware that there is an additional 2% charge on credit cards. Our website is supported by a safe and secure payment system, hundreds of customers booking with confidence everyday.
3. Is there a charge for infants?
Infants must be under 2 years old on the return travel date. Alternativahotels.com do not make a charge for an infants stay. A request must be made for a cot for the duration of your stay, at the time of booking. Please be aware: that an infant cannot be accommodated in a room with full occupancy (i.e a 1 bedroomed apartment accommodating 4 people will not accept 2ad/2ch and an infant).
4. Why do I need to enter the age of my child?
The policy regarding child discounts varies from hotel to hotel. This is why, when you are searching for hotels, we ask you for the number of children who will be staying with you and their ages at the time of travel. All discounts are applied to the total price quoted.
5. Are the rates on your site per person or per room per night and do your rates include tax and meals?
All the rates quoted by alternativahotels.com are per room (not per person) per night and inclusive of tax. We also advise whether or not meals are included. We always show the final hotel price upfront so that there will be no surprise charges when you enter your credit card details. The price you see is the price you pay.
6. How can I find out about the best deals?
We list selected deals of the day on our homepage. All of the prices shown in our search results are the best prices available at that time and are heavily discounted.
7. What drinks and food are included in an All Inclusive booking?
This will vary between hotels and resorts but would generally consist of water, beer, soft drinks and local wines and spirits. Cocktails, International and premium brands unless specified are not available or subject to an additional cost. Daytime snacks may include sandwiches, pizzas and hamburgers.
8. When I search some apartments it states the board basis as self catering/room only do these have kitchen facilities or is it just the room?
The kitchen facilities are included in all self catering studios and apartments. Room only means that no meals are included. If the description states either twin/double or standard room on self catering/room only basis, this will be a hotel room only with no kitchen facilities.
9. I cant see the hotel I want, it was there 5 minutes ago. Can I still book it?
This will probably mean that the property is no longer available. Please choose another option or alternatively contact us at info@alternativahotels.com or call us on our booking line and we will do our best to meet your request.
No, flights are not included. Alternativehotels.com is an accommodation only provider; the price is just for your hotel or apartment
